This is important, La Hallotière is the name of our house, you will not find 'La Hallotiere' on google maps or your sat nav. Two lots of people who have typed this into google have ended up east of Rouen (over two hours from us)

Our village is called Le Mesnil Gilbert, we are in Manche (department 50)

When you get to A84 you will begin to see signs for Villedieu-les-Poeles (same direction as Rennes). Leave the A84 at Junction 38 (signed for Villedieu-les-Poeles) and follow my directions from Villedieu.

From Villedieu-les-Poeles

After the leaving the motorway follow the signs for Brecey.

When you leave the A84 at junction 38 take the 2nd exit at the Roundabout D999, next roundabout take the first exit to D999 (if you need supplies, there is a Lidl on the left and a Casino supermarket just off the right of this stretch) go just over a mile to the end of the road, turn right and continue for just under a mile, turn left onto D924 (signposted Brecey) almost immediately turn right onto D999 (signed Brecey) Follow for three minutes and (this is where you stop following signs for Brecey) take the left turn signed for St. Poi's D 33. Follow this for about 15 minutes to St Pois. In St. Poi's go straight on at the roundabout and go down the hill of the Main Street.  At the bottom follow the bend of the road to the left (past the Gendarmerie).  After leaving St. Poi's continue for about 3 minutes before turning off the main road.  1 minute after leaving St. Pois there is a sign to Le Mesnil Gilbert DO NOT TAKE IT but continue for another 2 minutes where there is a sign (right) to Le Mesnil Gilbert D173.  Turn right onto it.  After a few hundred yards bear left.   Continue and our lane is the third turning on the left, there is a little sign 'LA HALLOTIERE'.  After turning onto the lane our property is the first on the right.  You will see a Normandy Flag at the entrance of our small drive.
